Lisa Ascolese, "The Inventress"

LA

Lisa Ascolese is a true mentor, entrepreneur, keynote speaker, inventor and independent product broker. She is an amazing business woman whose driving force is behind so many incredible brands. She has designed, manufactured and marketed products of her own as well as for her clients. Her grandmother who taught her, “When you believe, you will achieve.” is advice she lives by daily.

Lisa's very first product, the “Bosom Buddy” nursing cape, sold in hundreds of retail stores across the country. This product was inspired by Lisa as a young mother so the “Bosom Buddy” sole purpose is to give nursing moms the ability to feed their babies comfortably and discreetly.

Lisa took her success with the “Bosom Buddy” and tried her hand at the next star product called the “Bon-Tie” hair accessory, launching on QVC in 2001. Now gaining momentum the “Wrap-andStore” organizer was born and launched shortly after on QVC television in 2003.

Now as a marketing master, Lisa was inspired to keep things moving and designed the “Perfect Pockets” kitchen organizer, which launched on QVC and debuted in Bob's Kitchen in 2005. This product generated more than $6,000.00 in less than 2 minutes. The organizer sparked additional creative usage ideas. Lisa shifted gears slightly and redesigned the product to include expanded uses such as makeup, magazines etc. She then took this new and improved model and launched it on HSN two years later.

Today, Lisa's products vary from mother care nursing products to kitchen organizers, hair accessories and much more (i.e., breast feeding cape, bun tie hair accessory, hair accessories and the list goes on).

“Creative Stirrup” is another one of Lisa's creative product lines, which is sold in more than 250 motorcycle dealerships including Harley Davidson and J&P Cycles.

In addition to her own products, Lisa has represented products for many other large companies such as Slyvania, Amertac and Westing house, just to name a few.

In 2003, Lisa expanded “Inventing A to Z” to assist others who have the same desire to create and develop their own product(s) from concept to fruition. She assists with manufacturing to the market place and helps add insight to those who need a jump start in order to get the balling rolling.

She went another step and began sharing her knowledge in schools throughout New Jersey and eventually across the country. Lisa even captured the attention of five-time Grammy Award Winner, singer and actress, “Dionne Warwick” who decided to endorse Lisa's business. Dionne introduced Lisa to the superintendent of the East Orange school district in East Orange, NJ which allowed Lisa to offer her expertise to that of young children. Workshops were catered to helping children create new products and solutions for todays problems and overall build a better foundation for tomorrow.

Today, Lisa works with celebrities such as Gloria Gaynor, Nicole Arie Parker, Steve Harvey, his daughter, Karli Harvey and several other wonderful clients from all walks of life.

Lisa also works closely with the Police Athletic League (PAL), giving her the opportunity to travel from New Orleans to New Mexico with her workshops and continue helping others to remain positive and creative.

Additionally, she tours colleges and universities nationwide and has been invited to speak at the learning Annex in New York and Los Angeles where she has appeared on the same rosters as Donald Trump, Suze Ormond and other established business moguls.

With that, Lisa was asked to speak and to participate at the 14th annual retreat at the “Odyssey Women's Conference” in Naples, FL placing her in the same company as such notables as Soledad O'Brien. She joined a panel with Jasmine Guy, financial guru Deborah Owens, Bevy Smith, star of Bravo TV “Dinner with Bevy”, Anchor/Special Correspondent CNN/US Debra Sandler, President of Mars Chocolate, N.A, and Congresswoman Carolyn Kilpatrick among others.

Lisa is driven by her undying passion for inventing solutions to everyday problems and if you have worked with Lisa then you know it's no secret that she truly enjoys sharing her creative insight and innovative know-how with others who want to experience the same. Successfully bringing innovative products to retail and National Television Networks is more rewarding for Lisa then anyone could ever imagine.

It's this passion and excitement that continues to be the driving force behind Lisa's success. From celebrities, doctors and lawyers to stay at home moms, your success begins by... “Pulling Each Other Up, Two Hands At A Time”

LS

As a child growing up in Harlem New York, LLoyd has had an unusual interest in all things “weird”, “strange” or “interesting” (Or did it have something to do with him being an Aquarius “7″?)

Fascinated with the “other world”; the study of astrology and the related sciences, held his time and attention. Despite a background in sales, real estate, insurance, publishing and even music, he seemed to have been the happiest if he could figure a person’s astrological and or numerical chart. After long and intensive years of studying and researching both astrology and numerology, LLoyd emerged as an Astro/Numerologist… perhaps the most renowned authority in this specialized field today!

LLoyd has written numerous books, news/magazine columns and numerous articles on events of the time. He brings to the radio listener and TV viewer, insight and an informative approach to his very unique world.

CRAFTING BESTSELLER WITH EXCELLENT EDITING PRESENTED BY MARY MCBETH

MM

Lead editor Mary McBeth is a published author with more than 18 years of experience with freelance writing, editing, proofreading and copy writing.  Her passion for words enables her to provide thorough proofreading and editing services, a concise and fresh copy, a fast turnaround on any changes you may desire, as well as savvy business advice and a supportive editor’s ear. She will help you get your message across and make a great first impression on a publisher or final reader.

Raised in Brooklyn, of Southern and Caribbean descent, globetrotting Mary has traveled to over 20 countries and 123 cities around the world. She speaks and reads fluently in Italian and German as well as conversationally in Spanish and French. Mary has also worked for many years as a runway fashion model turned fashion photographer and actress in theatre and film. A gifted and multi-talented scholar, Mary’s likeness can be found in over 30 music and film productions worldwide and she has written over 600 articles in print and online.

Her eye for detail and talent has made her a sought-after consultant to visual artists, musicians, directors and writers for more than two decades; so much so that her remarkable influence can be found in everyday pop culture.  A devoted muse, Mary is in fact the subject and/or inspiration for an astonishing array of International fashions, design products, paintings, songs, poems, films and fictional characters.

The former two-time Salutatorian and student body President of New York’s prestigious High School of Art & Design has also held the titles of Rotarian, Realtor, Resource Librarian, Teacher, Newspaper Publisher, Author, Web Developer and Marketing Director. Furthermore, Mrs. McBeth is an accomplished Reiki Master with a Masters Degree in Holistic Life Coaching and Metaphysical Science. A voracious reader and an extreme perfectionist, Mary resigns herself to editing just 1 book per month.

It was in the summer of 2009, that her love for Urban Literature was born. Coincidentally, a major paradigm shifting experience exposed her to some of the rawest talents and innovative thinkers of our time – but, without the grammar! It was also here that she became increasingly aware of how the American Prison Complex was systematically robbing the African Diaspora of its most creative minds.

Increasingly concerned with the uplift of the Urban Fiction genre, along with what she considers to be, it’s profound cultural implications; Mary co-founded the non-profit ArtsToLiteracy Children’s Initiative in 2010. Here, she works to develop greater self-esteem and crucial life skills in at-risk inner city youth through her “Personal Sustainability” programs in Creative Writing, Publishing and Filmmaking. She has designed this program to help children advocate for themselves by “telling their stories” as well as identifying and marketing their own creative and entrepreneurial talents.

Mary is thoroughly familiar with spiritual and new age language, southern dialects, urban vernacular, and foreign dialects and accents. All this combines to make her especially sensitive to the nuances of language as a tool for communication as well as entertainment.

Mary is familiar with the following genres:

  • African American Urban Literature
  • Urban Fiction
  • Science Fiction
  • Horror
  • Urban Fantasy
  • Spiritual/New Age writing (including but not limited to Metaphysics, New Thought, Astrology, vibrational healing, etc.)

IMPACTFUL WRITING THAT REACH THE STARS- PRESENTED BY THERESA J. GONSALVES

TJG

At the age of five, the city of Roxbury, Massachusetts recognized Ms. Theresa Gonsalves as a little beauty queen and the star she was destined to be when her youthful talent won her the title of Little Ms. Roxbury. Yet it was a defining moment at the age of twelve that transformed her life. A magical thing happened when a young Michael Jackson looked her in her eyes from the stage of the Boston Gardens and said, “Will you please sit down so I can get on with the show?” She fell back into the seat behind her and the connection had begun. This moment started a barrage of letters to Michael Jackson, who upon reading them recognized the talent in her writing as he read her letters astutely for years before they met. This led to a friendship between Michael and Theresa that spanned over three decades. Michael knew she was destined to write as he told her, “When I read your letters, it was as if you were standing there talking to me. I could visualize what you were writing. I could hear your voice.”

It wasn’t until the age of 45 that Theresa actually pursued her writing career. For thirty years she worked in the accounting industry, even opening her own business,  which entailed a variety of software training and accounting services. She always loved to teach, to share knowledge of whatever it was she herself learned along the way.

Her first book OBSESSIONS– the shocking true story of the Real Billie Jean in Michael Jackson’s life, introduces us to a riveting relationship Theresa found herself caught up in. It is hypothesized that because of her love for Michael Jackson, she never learned to cultivate a real relationship with men, thus when this one came along, it became obsessive on both parts. She wrote Obsessions putting herself out there in hopes that other women will learn from her mistakes. But it was her first real relationship that sadly led to the words of Michael Jackson’s hit song. After expressing her story to Michael, he told her weeks later he penned a song about her. That song as we know it today, the legendary ....Billie Jean.

The Man in the Woods, her second writing, has won three literary awards and even attention from the Oprah show. This books’ deep subject takes you through the life and mind of a child molester who just happens to be her brother. Ms. Gonsalves is careful to point out that the book does not contain molestation content, but instead a suspense novel as she poses two questions to the readers – 1. Do you feel we are predisposed to becoming who we are? - 2. If you knew someone in your immediate family was committing heinous crimes, would you have the fortitude to turn them in? She references this book by saying...as you look at a Jeffrey Dahmer type documentary you find yourself wondering what happened to him when he was a kid....The Man in the Woods, about her brother, takes you there.

Her most recent work and dearest to her heart is REMEMBER THE TIME, a book titled after one of his songs, in a tribute of love to our beloved Michael Jackson. Letter writing brought them together, so Ms. Gonsalves felt it appropriate to share their story the same way. These letters, written to Michael in his afterlife, take you through their entire relationship where you share in their love, their dis appointments in each other but yet a friendship that continued in spite of his fame. In the end you find yourself rooting for what we know can never be, but you also learn about a differentside of Michael Jackson that doesn’t seem to be revealed much at all.
